Suzhou, located in Jiangsu Province, is famous for its graceful canals, classical gardens, and centuries-old craftsmanship. Often called the “Venice of the East,” the city embodies the harmony between nature, architecture, and tradition.

Beyond its scenic beauty, Suzhou is a modern, creative city where innovation meets culture. Visitors can stroll through UNESCO-listed gardens like the Humble Administrator’s Garden, explore ancient silk workshops, or enjoy the calm of leafy lakeside districts. Its mix of history, elegance, and modern comfort makes Suzhou an inspiring place for learning and discovery.

Qingdao, situated on China’s eastern coast in Shandong Province, is known for its golden beaches, fresh sea breeze, and distinct blend of Eastern and Western influences. Once a German concession, the city retains charming European-style architecture alongside its traditional temples and coastal promenades.

Qingdao’s relaxed coastal lifestyle combines with its strong educational and cultural heritage, offering students a refreshing environment to explore and learn. Beyond its scenic beauty, the city is also home to rich Confucian traditions, vibrant seafood markets, and the world-famous Tsingtao Brewery. Xi’an, the ancient capital of China, stands as a living museum of the nation’s rich past. Once the starting point of the Silk Road, it has witnessed over 3,000 years of history and served as the capital for multiple dynasties. The city’s iconic Terracotta Army offers a breathtaking glimpse into the grandeur of China’s imperial heritage.

Yet Xi’an is far more than a city of history — it is a vibrant, modern metropolis where ancient walls meet bustling streets, lively markets, and a flourishing food scene. Visitors can stroll along the ancient city wall, sample local specialties like biangbiang noodles, and experience the unique charm of northern Chinese culture. Blending old and new in perfect harmony, Xi’an is an inspiring place where China’s past and present come vividly to life.

FAQ

1 . When is the best time to apply for a camp program?

We recommend applying as early as possible to secure a spot for your child, as spaces can fill up quickly. Ideally, applications should be submitted 3 to 6 months before the camp start date. This allows ample time for visa processing, preparation, and any additional paperwork. Early application also gives you priority in selecting session dates and ensures time for your child to get familiar with camp expectations.

2 . What are your teachers like? Are they native speakers?

Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced in teaching Mandarin to non-native speakers. Many of them are native Chinese speakers, and all of them hold certifications in teaching Mandarin as a second language. They are passionate about teaching and create a dynamic, engaging, and interactive learning environment. Their goal is to make language learning fun while helping each child develop confidence in using Mandarin in real-life situations.

3 . What is your program like?

Our program is designed to provide a well-rounded experience that combines language learning, cultural immersion, and outdoor adventures. Each day is structured to include a mix of Mandarin language classes, hands-on cultural activities, and fun recreational experiences. In the mornings, students participate in interactive Mandarin lessons tailored to their skill level, focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Afternoons are filled with activities like Chinese calligraphy, martial arts, traditional crafts, and excursions to local cultural sites. We also offer a variety of sports, team-building exercises, and creative workshops to ensure that campers have plenty of opportunities to explore new interests, build friendships, and stay active. Evenings feature social events such as campfires, talent shows, and games, creating a lively and supportive community atmosphere. Our goal is to foster personal growth, cultural understanding, and language proficiency, all while ensuring that campers have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

4 . My child doesn’t know any Chinese. Can we still apply for your program?

Absolutely! No prior knowledge of Chinese is required to join our program. We welcome children of all language levels, from complete beginners to more advanced speakers. Our Mandarin classes are designed to cater to different proficiency levels, so beginners will be placed in introductory courses where they can learn the basics of the language in a supportive and encouraging environment. Our teachers are experienced in working with children who are new to Mandarin and use interactive methods to make the learning process enjoyable and accessible. Your child will quickly gain confidence in learning and speaking Chinese, even with no prior experience.

5 . What visa do I need, and what is the visa application process like?

For most students, a tourist visa (L visa) is sufficient to attend our camp in China. We provide a detailed guide to help you through the visa application process, including an invitation letter from the camp and other required documentation. We recommend starting the application at least two months before your departure date. Our team is available to assist with any questions you may have and to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed in time.

6 . What happens if my child gets sick?

If your child becomes ill during the camp, we have qualified medical staff on-site to provide immediate care. For more serious conditions, we are partnered with local hospitals and medical clinics to ensure that professional medical treatment is readily available. We will contact you immediately to keep you informed about your child’s condition and consult with you on any next steps. Our priority is the health and well-being of every camper, and we take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe recovery.

7 . Should I buy health insurance for my child?

Yes, we strongly recommend purchasing travel and health insurance for your child to cover any medical needs or emergencies that may arise during their stay in China. Health insurance will ensure that your child can receive proper medical care in case of illness or injury, and it provides peace of mind for you as a parent.

8 . What safety and security measures are in place at the camp location?

Our camp locations are fully secure, with restricted access and round-the-clock supervision by camp staff. Each building is equipped with security cameras and monitored by professional security personnel to ensure the safety of all campers. Boys and girls stay in separate accommodations, and counselors are always present to supervise. We conduct regular room checks and have strict protocols in place for fire safety, emergency evacuations, and other security measures to keep your child safe at all times.

9 . How do you maintain communication with parents during the camp?

We maintain regular communication with parents through various channels. Parents will receive daily or weekly updates via email or a mobile app, including photos and videos of their child’s activities. We also provide contact details of the camp director and key staff members, so parents can reach out at any time if they have concerns or questions. In case of any urgent matters, we will notify parents immediately. We understand how important it is for parents to feel connected while their child is away from home, so we ensure transparency and open communication.

10 . Is airport pickup available? How does it work?

Yes, we provide airport pickup for all arriving campers. Upon your child’s arrival at the designated airport, our staff will be waiting to greet them with clearly identifiable camp signs. Our team will ensure that your child is safely escorted to the camp in comfortable, supervised transportation. We will send you confirmation when your child has arrived safely at the camp. Parents can rest assured that we handle all logistics from the moment their child lands until they are settled into the camp.
