Every Day Brings a New Adventure

Campers learn Mandarin through activities, games, cultural workshops, sports, and exciting city outings where language and culture come alive through hands-on experiences.

They try calligraphy, make dumplings, visit museums, play outdoor games, and take part in real-life speaking challenges. Throughout the camp, enthusiastic teachers guide and support them every step of the way.

Grow in Mandarin — and in Confidence

Mandarin skills - and the confidence to use them.

Children develop pronunciation, pinyin, tones, vocabulary, and essential sentence patterns. From day one, they start using Chinese in simple conversations.

Step by step, they become more confident speakers. They also grow in independence, curiosity, and global awareness while connecting with peers from around the world.

A Safe and Supportive Camp Environment

Your Child's Safety and Wellbeing Always Come First

At Silk Mandarin Kids Camp, children learn and explore in a safe, structured, and caring environment. Our experienced teachers and caring activity leaders make sure every camper feels supported, well looked after, and at home.

All classes, activities, and excursions are carefully supervised. Children stay on secure campuses with controlled access, and organised transport is provided for all off-campus activities. Clear procedures are in place for medical situations, fire safety, and other emergencies, ensuring that every child is cared for throughout the programme.

With many years of experience organising Mandarin immersion camps for international families, we understand that safety is about more than procedures. It’s about creating an environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and supported, while giving parents complete peace of mind.

Keeping Parents Connected

We keep parents informed and connected throughout the camp with regular updates, including photos, videos, and bi-weekly learning reports showing what children are learning and how they are progressing. Teachers, life teachers, and our camp team are always available to answer questions, and if any urgent matter arises, we will contact parents immediately. We understand how important it is to stay connected while your child is away from home, which is why we place great value on open, transparent, and timely communication.

Learning by Doing

Children learn best by using language, not memorising it. Lessons include games, role-plays, teamwork, and real-life challenges that encourage active participation.

Through cultural activities, group missions, and practical tasks, campers practise Mandarin while exploring Chinese culture in a fun and engaging way.

Visible Progress

At Silk Mandarin, learning progress is carefully guided and monitored through our Learning Outcomes Assurance System.

Before the camp begins, students complete a placement assessment so they join the class that best matches their level. During the programme, teachers observe participation and communication in daily activities and provide regular feedback.

Daily learning reviews help reinforce new language, while a reward system encourages active participation, teamwork, and speaking Chinese throughout the camp. Parents receive updates during the programme, and the camp concludes with a final presentation where children showcase their progress.

Special Needs Support

Every participant is unique, and we are committed to creating a safe, supportive and enjoyable camp experience for everyone.

If you or your child has specific learning, dietary or medical needs, please let us know during the application process. This gives us the opportunity to discuss these needs with you and work together to determine whether we can provide the appropriate level of care and support.

While we make every effort to accommodate individual needs, there may be situations where we are unable to provide the specialised support required to ensure the participant's wellbeing or the safety of the group. In such cases, we may unfortunately be unable to offer a place at the camp.

In other cases, we may be able to provide additional support. Where this is possible, additional service fees may apply.
